1.  Morning Meeting

4.  I need to be honest.  The most important task as a reporter, getting ready to write a story, is to transcribe every word that was spoken by your interviewee.  When you have done this, you will (at a glance) be able to pick out the BEST sound bites for your story.  But this process is tedious and, well, boring.  There must be a better way to transcribe an interview.

I discovered a website that reporters and Podcasters are raving about for its ability to auto transcribe.  You simply drag and drop a video file into the website and in a few seconds you have a word-for-word transcription.

So this morning I tried it.  And it worked!  Perfectly.

1.  Watch this video.

2.  Look at my results this morning. I dropped yesterday's story into the app and this is what it processed in about 15 seconds.

3.  Use it to transcribe an interview before you begin editing

4.  Try it out on your own.  If you think this might be useful, I will purchase a subscription for the school year.

6.  Watch our live broadcast at 9:20AM, dedicated to Barsegh.
