APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 19TH @ 11:59 PM
ALL APPLICATIONS AND VIDEOS MUST BE SUBMITTED.
 

Auditions are scored by panels of experienced CHSTV broadcast students. Since the program is at capacity, openings depend on graduating seniors. This year it is very competitive with only 15 openings and 28 applicants. If a student does not make it into CHSTV, they are encouraged to enroll in Danielle Ryan's "Introduction to Journalism" class, and join the Broadcasting Club, run by CHSTV students.

Deadline for submission is
SATURDAY APRIL 19TH, 2025 @ 11:59 PM
Upload your three videos to your YouTube or Vimeo Channel and clearly title them as Chapman, Feature Story, and Sizzle Reel.  You will paste your channel URL into the Application Form.

Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Look over the scoring rubrics linked below.

  2. Begin planning your Chapman video. You cannot appear in the video, but you can narrate the video. It also needs to be shot, written and edited by YOU. The Chapman video length should be 2 minutes.

  3. Gather all of the assets you will need to edit your sizzle reel.

  4. Create your Feature Story based on the given prompt (where you are the reporter/writer/editor) and upload to your channel.

  5. Fill out and submit the application form (linked below).   Your channel URL needs to be included on the form.
